• THE LESSONS

The classroom will be the place to discuss the main problems and questions of the studtns a the time of speaking. A kind of laboratory where we can analyse our mistakes, revise and learn new structures.

Main objectives:
1. To cover all the basic theoretical contents needed to communicate.
Intermediate: Verbal tenses: Present, Past and Future. Form and use.
Pronouns system.

Advanced: Verbal tense revision.
Outline of Subjunctive Mode. Form and use.

Although there is an initial programme of contents, the classes will be open to all questions or subjects that students might propose to study.

2. To propose a working plan and provide didactic material for the students to work with by themselves in the future.

3. To make an individual analysis of the present Spanish of the students. Detect and correct the main mistakes of pronunciation and grammar.

4. And last and most important, to provide a space for real communication in Spanish.

• GINES, the village

One of the main attractions of the courses lays on the possibility of enjoying a week stay in the casa rural Espacio Vineeta in Gines. Gines is a very tiny hamlent with a chapel, formed by only eight old country houses. It belongs to the Ayuntamiento of Guadales6t, only 20 Km. from Altea.

Situated in the foothills of the Sierra de Aitana, the vegetation is here abundant and the silence and peace of the place is only broken by the singing of the birds.

Away from the routine and the hustle and bustle of the city, it is the perfect place to rest and recover energy in a familiar and cosy atmosphere.

• ESPACIO VINEETA, the house

It is an old rustic country house, warm, comfortable and cosy. Participants will be allowed to use the house at their disposal, its kitchen, its various terraces and corners, etc.

• ACCOMODATION

There are two alternatives:

1. Shared rooms. They are quite big and ideal for two of three people.
2. Individual rooms. In Espacio Vineeta or in one of the houses of the village.

We would like to encourage you to choose shared rooms, as staying all together in the same house is part of the spirit of the course.

• EATING

Food is something we really care for in CURSOS LA ERMITA. We will have a healthy and balanced vegetarian diet, which will help you to feel better during your stay. All the products are fresh and most are ecologically grown.

But we also want the food to be a pleasure. A time to taste and enjoy new and different recipes cooked either in the house or by some excellent cooks living in the valley. Try our different types of whole bread, our “cocas”, our vegetable lasagne, our paella, seitan, tofu….

• REQUIREMENTS

An immersion linguistic method implies that lessons and all communication during your stay will be in Spanish. Therefore it is obvious that students must have a certain basic level of Spanish.

• THE STAFF

Although you will meet some very interesting people such as collaborators, monitors and friends. The two organizers are:

Nathalie Amand.
Owner of the house. She is the general coordinator of the courses. Vegetarian cook. Reiki and Almagrama therapist.

Jose Quirante.
Spanish teacher. Graduated in Spanish Language at the University of Alicante. Director of the languages school Babel Idiomas in Altea for twelve years, he is now responsible for the programme of courses in Spanish for Foreigners at the Centro Social in Altea. He is author of three methods for learning Spanish.

• ACTIVITIES AND WORKSHOPS

For thouse who wish, there are a number of activities, included in the price, designed to make your stay an enfiching experience. Among them:
- “Conciencia Corporal”. An introduction to yoga and meditation, with Nieves González, an excellent and experienced monitor. Two sessions.

·WHAT ARE LOS CURSOS LA ERMITA?

They are weekend Spanish courses which take place in the rural house ESPACIO VINEETA in Chines, a tiny charming village in the mountains near Guadalest, just 25 km. away from Altea. Our aim is to go further than a simple Spanish course and offer you the possibility of learning and staying in a place situated in the middle of nature where only the singing of the birds can be heard. Away from routine and the hustle and bustle of the city, it is the perfect place to rest and recover energy in a familiar and cosy atmosphere.

It is possible to attend only the course, for those who live near Guadalest, and prefer to drive there everyday. If apart from the lessons, you want to eat and spend the night in the house, we offer accommodation with breakfast. We also have an offer a vegetarian lunch and dinner.

For those who are interested, there is also a programme of “Conciencia Corporal” (including yoga and meditation), and other interesting activities.

· REQUIREMENTS

The lessons and the language during the course will be in Spanish, and the levels are intermediate or advanced. Therefore it is obvious that students must have a certain basic level of Spanish.

· THE LESSONS

- The course consists of 18 lessons (60 minutes) distributed between Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

-Small groups (8 students maximum)

-Two levels: Intermediate and Advanced

-Objectives:

a)To cover the content equivalent of a year’s academic course in any official school.

Intermediate: Verbal Tenses (present, past and future). Form and use.

Pronouns. Form and use.

Advanced: Outline of the Subjunctive Mode. Form and use.

b)To propose a working plan and provide didactic material for the students to revise by themselves after the course.

c)To make an individual analysis of the present Spanish of the students. Detect and correct the main mistakes of pronunciation and grammar.

d)And last and most important, to provide an environment for real communication in Spanish.

· THE STAFF

The course is organized and coordinated by José Quirante Santacruz, A graduate in Spanish Language at the University of Alicante. He was director of the language school Babel Idiomas for twelve years. He is the responsible for “Spanish for Foreigners” at the Centro Social in Altea. He is author of three methods for learning Spanish.

· WHERE

One of the main attractions of CURSOS LA ERMITA is the possibility of,study and improving you Spanish as well as enjoying a weekend stay in Chines. Don`t even try to find it on a map because it is so tiny that it does not appear even in the local guides. It is a village with a chapel, with only eight old country houses (most of them empty).

It is situated in the foothills of the sierra de Aitana. The vegetation, typically Mediterranean, is exuberant. In this special place, time stops, and you live at nature’s rhythm in harmony with the flora and fauna.

· EATING

The food is vegetarian; most of the products are organic and fresh. You will love it.

Lunch and dinner will be served on Friday and Saturday and only lunch on Sundays.

The kitchen facilities of the house will be at the disposal of everybody participating in the course.

· ACCOMMODATION

There are two types of accommodation:

1. - Shared rooms. They are quite big and ideal for two or three people.

2. - Individual rooms. In ESPACIO VINEETA or one of the houses of the village.

We would like to encourage you to choose shared rooms as staying all together in the same house is in keeping with of the spirit of the course.

· NIGHTS in Chines

When the night comes, after dinner, we get together to enjoy the views and the fresh air of the mountains. You will find a relaxed atmosphere, perfect to practice your Spanish over a cup of tea with the teachers, staff, other participants and some local friends.

· DATES

The courses will take place the last weekend of every month. They start on Friday at 14:00 with lunch or at 15:30 for the presentation. They finish on Sunday at 18:00 with farewell cocktails.

·¿QUÉ SON LOS CURSOS LA ERMITA?

Son unos cursos intensivos de español para extranjeros de un fin de semana que tienen lugar en la casa rural Espacio VINEETA situada en Chines, una pequeña aldea con encanto en las montañas del valle de Guadalest, a tan sólo 25 km de Altea (Alicante). Pero nuestra intención es crear algo más que un mero curso de idiomas, también te ofrecemos la posibilidad de conocer un paraje de gran belleza situado en plena naturaleza donde lo único que se escucha es el canto de los pájaros. Aislado de la rutina y bullicio de la ciudad, es el lugar ideal para descansar y reponer energías en un ambiente familiar y acogedor.

Existe la modalidad de asistir sólo a las clases de español para los participantes que residan cerca y decidan desplazarse cada día hasta Chines. Si aparte de las clases también deseas comer y alojarte en Chines, la casa rural te ofrece un servicio de cocina vegetariana (comidas y cenas) y alojamiento con desayuno.

· REQUISITOS
Las clases y la convivencia en Chines serán en español. Por lo tanto los participantes deben tener previamente un nivel básico y ser capaces de “defenderse” en español.

·LAS CLASES

- El curso consta de 18 horas de clase distribuidas entre viernes, sábado y domingo.

- Los grupos serán reducidos, máximo 8 alumnos.

- Existen dos niveles: Medio y Avanzado.

- Objetivos del curso:

a) Cubrir los contenidos equivalentes a un año académico en cualquier centro oficial.

Nivel medio:-Estudio de los tiempos verbales del Modo Indicativo: (Presente, Pretérito Perfecto, Pretérito Indefinido, Pretérito Imperfecto, Pretérito Pluscuamperfecto y Futuro Imperfecto) forma y uso.

Nivel avanzado:- Estudio del Modo Subjuntivo: forma y uso.

b) Proponer unas líneas de trabajo y el material didáctico necesario para que el alumno pueda aprender por su cuenta en el futuro.

c) Hacer un análisis personalizado de la forma de hablar de cada participante. Detectar y corregir los errores principales de estructura y de pronunciación.

d) Y última y más importante, crear un espacio real para la práctica del español.

· PROFESORADO

Las clases de español están organizadas y coordinadas por José Quirante Santacruz, licenciado en Filología por la Universidad de Alicante. Fue durante doce años director del centro Babel Idiomas y actualmente es responsable del área de Español para Extranjeros del Centro Social de Altea. Es autor de tres métodos de español.

·LUGAR

Sin duda uno de los mayores atractivos de los Cursos La Ermita reside en poder disfrutar unos días en la casa rural Espacio VINEETA que se encuentra en Chines.

Pero no, no lo busques en el mapa porque no lo encontrarás, simplemente es tan pequeño que no aparece ni siquiera en las guías locales. Chine está formado por un conjunto de tan sólo ocho antiguas casas de pueblo, la mayoría vacías excepto ESPACIO VINEETA, y una pequeña y antigua ermita con una capilla.

Situado en las estribaciones de la Sierra de Aitana, la vegetación, típicamente mediterránea, se muestra aquí generosa y exhuberante. En este maravilloso lugar el tiempo se para, vivimos al ritmo de la naturaleza y entramos en armonía con la fauna y la flora que nos rodean.

·COMIDAS

La cocina es vegetariana. La mayoría de los productos son frescos y ecológicos y por lo general seguimos una dieta hipo-tóxica, es decir, pobre en proteínas animales y rica en proteínas vegetales y vitaminas. Te encantará.

Se ofrecerán comidas viernes, sábado y domingo y cenas viernes y sábado.

Aunque nosotros nos ocuparemos de preparar todas las comida, existe una cocina en la casa para uso de todos. Podrás hacer uso de ella siempre que quieras.

·ALOJAMIENTO

Existen dos modalidades:

1.-Habitación compartida.Las habitaciones son bastante grandes y permiten ser compartidas por dos o incluso tres personas.

2.-Habitación individual. Cada participante dispone de una habitación individual, en ESPACIO VINEETA o en una de las casas vecinas de la aldea.

Nos gustaría animarte a elegir habitación compartida ya que es parte del espíritu del curso la convivencia de todos juntos en la casa.

·OTRAS ACTIVIDADES :

-Programa de Conciencia Corporal con Nieves González: incluye Yoga, meditación y relajación.

Hay dos sesiones disponibles: por la mañana, antes de las clases y por la noche, antes de la cena.

- Masajes ayhurvédico con Beatriz.

- Sesión Reiki, con Nathalie Amand

·LA NOCHE en Chines

Cuando cae la noche, después de un pequeño descanso tras la cena, nos reunimos para tomar algo en la terraza disfrutando de las vistas y el aire puro de la sierra. En esos momentos, si todavía tienes fuerzas y no deseas retirarte a tu habitación, encontrarás un ambiente relajado donde practicar tu español con el personal de los cursos, los otros participantes y algunos amigos residentes de la zona.

· FECHAS Y PRECIOS

Los cursos se realizarán el último fin de semana de cada mes (excepto octubre). La hora de comienzo será el viernes a las 14:00 con una comida o a las 15:30 para los que vengan sólo a las clases. La hora de finalización será el domingo a las 18:00 con el cocktail de despedida.€

Precios:

- Curso de 18 Clases de español (60 m) y dossier con material didáctico : 110 E (incluido bebidas y snacks)

- Comida y cenas: 15 E (cada una)

- Alojamiento y desayuno: 30 E por noche. (Suplemento 15 E por noche en habitación individual)

- Programa de Conciencia Corporal: 30 E fin de semana

- Fin de semana completo todo incluido: Desde viernes a las 14:00 hasta domingo 18:00: 230 E

Forma de pago: 50% cuand se hace la reserva y el resto al contado a la llegada a Chines.

NOTA: CURSOS LA ERMITA se reserva el derecho de anular o aplazar los cursos si no se llega a un número necesario de participantes para formar un grupo.
